Operations guide
A practical guide to app and game maintenance notices
Plan maintenance windows, required or optional updates, and user messaging for normal and delayed releases.

Design the rule before the interface
Define ownership, states and user-facing rules before implementation. Provider settings, score rules, maintenance gates and peak-load assumptions should be explicit and reviewable.
Treat failure paths as product behavior
Success-path testing is insufficient. Exercise retries, duplicate requests, reconnects, account changes, delayed stores and partial dependency failures before launch.
Make operations observable
Use shared identifiers across logs, metrics and support records. Every alert should identify an owner, a first-response playbook and the evidence needed to close the incident.
